Ana - Character TurnAround Animation

First attempted to create a character turnaround using Procreate. I wanted to use a special character I had when I made a small comics in school, and gave my character Ana a remake and a design that sticks to her vibe, style and occupation. I took in research on many ways to approach character turnarounds, and tips to creating different angles of a character.

The animation itself is a work in progress as there's still areas that need to be adjusted and for the character to have colors. For my first attempt, I can't wait to do this experience again with more characters in the future!

Rough Designs - The Character to the right is another character I've wanted to redesign as well, using their occupation as the villain to fit in with that exact style

Color Cordination - seperate designs were made to correct colors with the gray scale, seperating the dark and bright color values before deciding the final design.

Measurements - Measurements play an important role when creating a turnaround, as you want your character's focus on face length and posture

Back Posture - I drew this as an example on how to approach side profiles of back posture. Having one oval face back upward, while the other faces the front downward helps to keep a character straight and balanced

Back angles - This was another example that was useful for back angles. Drawing an oval and facing a direction to where your character is turning can help direct to that view.
